The College of Wooster men's basketball team was only 5-4 in the non-league portion of it's schedule, but the North Coast Athletic Conference hasn't been a problem.

"It was a real battle," said Scots coach Steve Moore. "We knew they would play us tough at their place, but our guys responded to the challenge."

Wooster, now 17-4 overall, used a balanced attack to top the Little Giants as four Scots scored in double figures, and a fifth finished with eight points. Nathan Balch led the winners with 17 points, while Franks finished with a baker's dozen, Johnson 11 and Bryan Wickliffe 10.
Wabash Clip on charms (13-7, 8-4) got 18 points from Wes Smith and a game-high 20 points from Brock, who was 7-for-7 from the foul line. The loss dropped the Little Giants into a three-way tie for second place in the NCAC with Wittenberg and Allegheny.
While Moore noted the benefit of the Scots' balanced attack, he had individual praise for Johnson, calling Sunday his best game of the year.
"Brandon played a season-high 34 minutes, so that was good to see," said Moore of his point guard who is coming off summer knee surgery. "Besides his 11 points, Brandon also had six steals and three assists."
The Scots, one of the NCAC's top rebounding teams, lost the battle of the boards 31-27 to the Little Giants, Fendi Replica Handbags with Justin Hallowell's nine caroms leading Wooster.
Wooster will look to continue its NCAC dominance on Wednesday when it travels to Hiram and a game with the fifth-place Terriers.
"Our main focus right now is to keep playing well and keep improving," said Moore. "There's still some things we can get better at.
"We'll play our next game, and hopefully play it well."
On Saturday, the Scots will host rival Wittenberg a Timken Gym.
